Autumn's Preschool Graduation

Last week Autumn graduated from her first year of preschool! "First" meaning next year she will attend preschool once again, as she is a late birthday and not eligible for Kindergarten. I am really happy that she'll have another year, however, because we just love the school and how much she has grown in this short year. Who knows what next year will bring!

Below are Autumn's "official" school pictures. Official in that I took them in Nana's backyard. I originally was coordinating with the preschool to take the school's photos, but with the record snow days we got this year and then Spring Break, it just didn't work out. I'm looking forward to it next year though!

So of course, the morning of preschool graduation I went to go grab my camera only to realize that both batteries were dead. I own 2 batteries for my camera and they were BOTH DEAD. Worst photographer ever. My cell phone made due, but excuse the crummy quality of her first/last day of school pictures. It's a subtle difference, but she looks so much taller, leaner and older to me!

A look at today's graduation. There would be another graduation for children who attend on other days, but this was Autumn's little program. I guess this was the school's most successful year to date, with a long waiting list that they were never able to accommodate. We just love her school! Did you remember it's the exact same preschool I went to?

Autumn didn't want to stand and pose for a picture with her teacher because that's Autumn, but I did manage to sneak a picture of her hugging her goodbye. Mrs. Hughes was so patient with Autumn and never had anything negative to say. Autumn just adored her and she was just perfect for Autumn's introduction into school.

And lastly, before we left I just had to snag a picture with Mrs. McCarty. She's currently the preschool's director, but back in the 80's she was MY preschool teacher. How amazing it has been to send my little girl to the same preschool. Lucky for me, Mrs. McCarty only has fond memories of my time at the school! =)
