Holy Pool Pic Spam!

I'm a bit more caught up on client orders and other work stuff, so I thought I'd take a break and post a few more pictures from the beach. These are a collection of my favorite pool side photos. Some people might wonder why on earth someone would go to the pool (or in our case, the backyard) when you're at the beach, but a pool is definitely a must have! After coming home from the beach, a long bike ride, or simply after waking up there is nothing better than taking a dip in the pool!

Autumn LOVED the water. After we unpacked for the week I put her right into her suit for her first dip EVER. Luckily it was especially warm and she has a liking to the water anyhow. She was splashing, kicking, having a great time! I'd post the video, but getting these pictures up is about all I can accomplish today!

Lounging with my sweetie! Wearing her out in the pool worked like a charm and here she was in the final stages pre-nap of relaxation!

Some variation on the long jump. The kids are always thinking of creative new games to play.

This was Autumn's first few moments in the pool - as you can see from her reaction, she approves! The splashing of the other kids didn't phase her at all. She'll be a force to be reckoned with when she gets older though! She is a kicking/splashing machine! Even dunking her underwater didn't phase her.

We brought a baby pool for her but she was much more content in the big pool in her float. This will however be perfect out on our deck when I'm not up for a trip to our community pool.

Karen and her noble steed. You see, Karen's helpfulness came back to bite her when she shattered her right ring finger during a thunderstorm at her community pool in NC. Let's just say she got in a battle with an umbrella crank and some wind... and she lost. Having just had surgery a few days before, she had to keep her arm elevated, iced and shielded from the splashing.

So I bought this cute little float thinking shade would be good for Autumn, but I was wrong. In theory it was a good idea, but she much preferred the other float we had for her that kept her almost completely submerged and had a wide brim for her toys.

No sweeter revenge for all those time outs!

Until Mom gets the hose anyway...

Taking a break by the pool.

  4. The beach pics are always my favorites! Everyone is just so happy and relaxed.

We didn't get any pictures of my pool adventures, so I'm glad to see you got one of me and my trusty sidekick. Now we can laugh about that for years to come. =)

  5. I just love the 1st pic of you & Autumn lounging on the raft in the pool! You are making me long for a beach trip and with this house remodel going on, I hardly think we'll have time for that this summer! =)

  6. Loved the pics...it makes me want to go back. I have to laugh at the one of Anthony all by himself on the steps. His sun-faded swimsuit makes him look like he's going commando! Karen and her trusty sidekick gave me a chuckle too! =)
