Gardening 2014

One of the things we look forward to every year (Autumn and I) is going to the local nursery and buying our flowers and vegetables for the spring. I love the way my yard looks this time of year! I installed a brick border around our gardens which makes SUCH a huge difference in person. Best of all, they're plastic! And super cheap! The reviews were amazing on the website and I do not regret it at all. We did the same in the backyard and again, it makes a huge difference. The backyard is still a work in progress, so stay tuned for more on that.

I wouldn't say I've had a successful garden persay... but I do love doing it. I always get tomatos and I got a lot of jalepenos last year when I tried those for the first time. But my green peppers are always tiny, my cucumbers are never straight and the squirrels eat a lot of the rest. I got my usuals, plus I'm trying peas and green beans for the first time. Those I had to actually seed and plant myself, instead of "starters" that I buy from the nursery.

Anxious to see how things grow this year! I've always been so awful about watering the past few years, so I'm hoping if I am more diligent and research and take care of my plans more, things will be more fruitful! Stay tuned.
