Budgeting...Food.

I have heard the way to do it is buying for the whole month. I usually go each pay period, but since we're a little overwhelmed with medical bills and property taxes (yeah, I still haven't paid those...) and HOA fees and who knows what else, I'm going to do one big shop at the start of the month. I'm listing my go-to meals that we make so I can have a running list and plan out the whole month.

Please let me know what your favorite meals are! I'm always looking for something new to try because I feel sometimes like I'm making the same things all the time. Tried something on Pinterest that you loved? I want to know!

  2. ^^ My dad has a recipe very similar to the above. We've always called it Papa Chicken and it's amazing.

Have you ever checked out this idea for menu planning/rotation?

We've been using it since this past summer and we love it. I just switched up this past month to throw in some new recipes and pull off some that just working. Shopping monthly helps us - I spend between $200-250 a month, sometimes less.

  3. We make the mayo/parm chicken too. Have you tried substituting the mayo for sour cream or Greek yogurt? Both are yummy!
