It runs in the family...

I was upstairs on Saturday working on something in the bedroom while Adam and Autumn were entertaining themselves down stairs. All of the sudden I hear, "Oh no. No, no, no, no," from Adam. I was still working on Autumn's dresser, so I was assuming the worst in the form of paint. I passed Adam on the stairs and asked him what was wrong and he said,  "Don't go over there."

I surveyed the dresser, the paint can, the brush - all intact and as I'd left them. That's when I saw this:

All I could do was laugh. I thought it was hilarious. I was also grateful she found the travel size baby powder instead of a full-size bottle. That could have been disastrous. With the help of the vacuum and a feather duster, we got it all cleaned up. I immediately thought of my sister, who has had this problem numerous times before.

This is my nephew Anthony. I guess mischievous tendencies run in the family. Hey - at least our family room smells baby fresh!

  1. I think they even have the same glum expression on their faces, too. =)

Now here's the question: what if Autumn did something like that in the basement at your dad's house? =)

  2. I think every mom has to experience that one. There is something about that powder that kids are drawn to. Just wait until you have more kids...this won't be the only time!!
